Welcome to the official Webpage of
DynaMIX Lab at IIT GOA !
At the DynaMIX lab, we focus on understanding the multiphysical nature of a phenomenon by analyzing the coupled interactions among various physical domains such as the structural, flow, electrical, magnetic, chemical, acoustic and so on. Structures and systems involving such multiphysics-based exchange (transduction and dissipation) of energies, with different strengths of forward and backward couplings, exhibit vivid dynamical responses.
Our research involves developing mechanics-based models and experiments of multiphysical systems, by characterizing various linear/nonlinear influences and couplings, contributing to the deterministic or random nature of response of the system.

Abhijeet M Giri (Ph.D. IIT Madras)
Assistant Professor, School of Mechanical Sciences, IIT Goa.
I am a faculty in the School of Mechanical Sciences at IIT Goa since October 2025. My current research includes problems on linear and nonlinear dynamical systems, smart material structures, coupled multiphysical interactions, and development of sensors and transducers. Prior to joining at IIT Goa, I was an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (Oct 2023 to Sept 2025) at the Lublin University of Technology (LUT) in Poland. At LUT, I taught the Erasmus+ program courses, and my research on wind-induced vibration energy harvesting was funded through the OPUS and SHENG-2 projects of the Polish National Science Agency (NCN). My another research work on piezoelectric harvesters for ultra-low-strength non-deterministic ambient excitations was funded through the Young Researcher Grant at LUT. In October 2025, I received Rector’s Award for achievements in the scientific activities performed at LUT.
I was awarded Ph.D. in May 2023 by the Department of Applied Mechanics at IIT Madras. I am interested in addressing the interdisciplinary research problems on dynamical systems, renewable and sustainable energy, structural monitoring with Digital Twin solutions, and similar areas. I am keen to consult on scientific and industrial research topics from relevant areas, and also welcome the research collaboration and application initiatives.
